The Barbados Community College is pleased to announce the 2019 recipients of the Emerging Leaders of the Americas Programme (ELAP)/Canada-CARICOM Scholarships: Ms Sonia Burgess - Tourism and Travel, Mr Kemuel Burke - Tourism and Travel, Mr Rashid Wickham - Culinary Arts, and Mr Jephan Yarde - Culinary Arts. These Scholarship winners will attend the St Lawrence College in the Canada during the next semester.

ELAP scholarship are awarded across the Caribbean and Latin America each year. The scholarship facilitates successful applicants’ participation in the exchange programme for a period of one to two semesters at a Canadian college/university. Students pursuing studies in the Divisions of Fine Arts, Commerce, and Hospitality Institute wishing to apply for the scholarship should have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or above.

The four (4) students will leave the island on Sunday 25 August, 2019 and pursue studies in their respective areas from September to December, 2019. The Board of Management, Management and Staff wish them success during their semester board.
