Overview

There is a growing awareness among Barbadians of decorating styles. This awareness has been enhanced by access to various television programmes and local trade shows on the topic.

This programme creates a knowledge base of the fundamentals of interior design as well as develops the techniques needed to work in this competitive field. The programme caters to the homemaker who has an interest in decorating as well as to the person who is desirous of achieving entry to this industry and its associated fields of event decorating and displays.

Admission Requirements

Prospective students should have a keen interest in the field. Applicants are selected based on an interview where the applicant’s attitude, maturity and professionalism are assessed.

Interview Requirements:

  • Applicants are asked to bring a pull-out from a magazine or any relevant picture of an interior they find interesting.
