Student Ambassador Programme

The BCC Student Ambassador Programme is an exciting student organization of highly selected first year students who represent the College in their second year. Ambassadors promote the College’s programmes and services. They assist with on-campus special events such as orientation, convocation, graduation and seminars, in addition to leading campus tours and participating in off-campus recruitment efforts.

 

How to become a Student Ambassador?

  • Maintain a minimum “Cumulative GPA of 2.75”
  • Be in your first year of school
  • Full-time student
  • Have a genuine interest in assisting others
  • Strong work ethic
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (trainable)
  • Apply at the Counselling & Placement Centre during the second semester when registration opens

  • Something interesting about myself: I like to watch anime and kdramas. My favourite anime right now is The Apothecary Diaries.
  • Advice for new students: My advice for new students is to try to make friends in your classes and across your division but also remember that you need to put in time to study from week 1 not just when a test is coming up or it is reading week and setting up a schedule after getting your timetable is a great way to organise yourself to study.

  • Something interesting about myself: I am very passionate about environmental conservation, and I want to someday incorporate my love for art into it, as a career path.
  • Advice for new students: Be sure to make meaningful connections to both peers and tutors because while your time at BCC may feel short, the friends you make here will last far longer.

  • Something Interesting about myself: I enjoy listening to music, especially jazz and podcasts on personal development and enjoy learning new languages, specifically French and Spanish.
  • Advice to New Students: Prioritize self-care and mental health. Take care of yourself emotionally and physically to be your best self. Manage your time effectively, while making a schedule and sticking to it, balancing coursework, extracurricular activities, and personal time.

Get involved, meet new people, and embrace new experiences, but remember to balance work and play.
