The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design is a programme designed for persons who demonstrate practical and visual ability in art and design.

The programme helps these persons develop skills and abilities that will help them function confidently, proficiently and successfully as graphic designers, satisfying local and regional demand in the graphic design industry and related areas of employment. Students will produce a personal design portfolio as they develop critical analytical problem solving skills and other transferable skills to prepare them for general graduate employment and postgraduate studies.

Requirements for admission include an Associate Degree in Visual Arts with a Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) of 2.5 or above. Mature students (25 years or older) who can demonstrate equivalent technical and theoretical skills may also be considered. All applicants must present a portfolio of 10 works and attend an interview.

The BFA degree programme is challenging and applicants must demonstrate that they have the technical skills and ability to be self-critical along with an enthusiasm for the subject and a willingness to work hard.
